Commercial photography is possibly the most challenging but is also an enjoyable part of my business. The diverse nature of commercial photography means that one day I could be photographing antique furniture for a website, and the next day I could be photographing a celebrity in a studio for an advertising campaign. It's this variety that I find challenging, as I need to decide how best to light, style and photograph each subject.
I've photographed advertising campaigns that have appeared on billboards nationwide, for clients such as Lotto, Powers Whiskey, Tesco Ireland and Trócaire. I've been lucky enough to have met and photographed famous people such as comedian Des Bishop, singer Imelda May and boxer Katie Taylor, as well as Cristiano Ronaldo and Raul among others from Real Madrid's team in 2009.
Some of my commercial work is directly for local businesses around Dublin and Cavan such as Energie Fitness, Waltons New School of Music, Airpacks/ Kore Insulation, Mezzanine Architects, and Bernard Smith Consulting Engineers. These photographs are often used in brochures and websites as well as other promotional material.
I regularly photograph events and conferences with event management companies such as Platinum One, venuesworld.com and Creative Events, for clients such as Budget Car Rental, Hertz and Real Madrid FC.
